The National Environment Commission for Zero Waste Bhutan together with the Waste Flagship PMU supported by volunteers from the Guide Association of Bhutan, Thimphu Thromde, Bhutan Red Cross Society, and Bhutan Taxi Association observed the Zero Waste Hour on 2 September 2021. The team observed the Zero Waste Hour from swimming pool to main town, imparting the importance of the initiative to the people on "My Waste, My Responsibility".
